Mission, Vision, & Values

Getting Started

Personal Records

The law requires that certain information relative to your employment be kept at Meltz. Records are kept in strict confidence with these laws as well as to establish documentation of your career development. Please promptly notify your department head of any change in name, address, telephone number, marital status, or number of dependents. Failure to do so may result in loss or delay of company benefits and/or jeopardize your employment.

Internal Communication

For any group of individuals to work as a cohesive team, communication is key. You will be given access to the Crew App which is where you can find your schedule, updates for promotions or holidays and reminders. When addressing your fellow coworkers always remember to speak with kindness and professionalism. Never be afraid to ask questions and never assume anything until you know all the facts. If you feel you need to address a problem privately, you are always encouraged to speak with a shift supervisor, manager and then, if not resolved, the owner.

Growth in Company

Whenever there is a need for new staffing or promotions, Meltz management will always look from within first, before seeking an outside hire. We encourage employees to make known their desire for promotion or cross- training opportunities. Promotions to higher paying jobs, more desirable jobs with equal pay, and the filling of available jobs are based on performance, qualifications and ability. Where performance, qualifications and ability are equal, employees with the longest continuous service will receive preference. Other considerations for promotion are attendance, availability, cooperation and the capacity for responsibility.

Disciplinary Action

When you are hired you will be considered a “probationary employee". At the end of your probation, a manager will provide a review of your progress and determine if you are ready to be a full employee or need additional time as a probationary employee.

The disciplinary policy applies to all regular employees including supervisors and management.
