When approached by businesses, raffles, or clubs requesting gift certificates, employees should exercise discretion in determining whether to provide them. The decision to provide gift certificates is ultimately up to managers. We provide gift certificates in two denominations: $25 and $50 (two $25 gift certificates). These certificates can be used towards purchases at our company's stores.
Gift certificates can only be used at Meltz and cannot be exchanged for cash. They are non-transferable and cannot be used to purchase other gift certificates. If it is a value other than $25 get a manager. The full value of the certificate does not to be used in a single transaction; any remaining can be given on a gift card.
Gift certificates should have a written expiration date of 3 months after given out. Accept expired gift certificates up to 1 year and explain to not wait next time.
Lost or stolen gift certificates will not be replaced or reimbursed. It is the responsibility of the recipient to keep the certificate in a safe place.
